A Social Group for People Living with Parkinson’s

We’re in the process of transitioning to a new name for this group — Parkinson’s Connect — to better reflect its focus on connection and community.
Join others living with Parkinson’s for fun, evidence-based activities that support brain health and connection. Spend time, share stories, and learn from people on the same journey.
Care partners are welcome to attend or take respite time for themselves. This program is supported by a community grant from the Parkinson's Foundation.

Facilitated Peer Support for Individuals and Care Partners

Join a supportive, welcoming space designed specifically for people living with Parkinson’s. Monthly support groups offer opportunities to connect with others who truly understand the Parkinson’s journey. Participants share personal experiences, exchange practical insights, and build meaningful connections in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
Depending on the location, participants may meet together or in separate groups for people with Parkinson’s and care partners, ensuring that everyone has space for connection and support.
The groups are facilitated by a licensed social worker or clinician and are designed to provide both emotional support and helpful coping strategies.
Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson’s for years, this is a place to learn, share, and feel supported.
Young Onset Parkinson’s Meetup
A Group for Those Still Working, Still Active, or Younger than 60

• 3rd Tuesday — 6:00pm–7:30pm — South Austin
Join us for a relaxed, welcoming evening designed for individuals living with young onset Parkinson’s in the Austin area. This monthly meet-up is a chance to connect with others who understand what you’re navigating—balancing work, staying active, and managing life with Parkinson’s.
Whether you’re looking to share experiences, exchange ideas, or simply enjoy good conversation in a supportive environment, this group is for you. There’s no formal agenda—just real connection, community, and understanding.
CAPS Frisbee Golf
A Casual Outdoor Activity for People Living with Parkinson’s
• Fridays — 8:00am-10:00am — East Austin
Join us for a relaxed round of frisbee golf in a welcoming, supportive environment. This informal outing is a great way to get moving, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with others in the Parkinson’s community.
All experience levels are welcome—whether you’re a seasoned player or trying it for the first time. Bring your own discs and come ready for fresh air, light activity, and good company.

Expert-Led Education on Parkinson’s
